Pendant lamp BALINO LED with invisible height adjustment
Mouth-blown crystal glass in a colorful finish characterizes BALINO. An exclusive finishing with crystal ice decor in the color settings diamond gray, gold and tobacco evokes a finely textured light effect.

BALINO is available as a single pendant, as a 2-way or 3-way pendant. In the multiple version, the canopy allows a free color combination of the suspended heads. All luminaires are controllable via Casambi, which allows a wide range of applications (individual and group control, light scenes, ...). For an additional charge, the luminaires are also available in an extended (max. 5 m) or shortened version. The adjustment range always remains at 1.60m, regardless of the length. For 1-flame luminaires, the canopy is always finished in white matt. For 2- and 3-flame luminaires, you can choose between different covers and end caps in white matt or black matt.

The invisible height adjustment
By simply moving the lamp head or the cable, the suspension height of the lamp can be infinitely adjusted. The mechanism of the height adjustment was integrated into the canopy and is not visible from the outside. Whether historic half-timbered house or sophisticated loft, the lamp easily adapts to all living environments and is thus a faithful companion in any room.
Structure and mode of operation
> FLEXIBLE IN EVERYDAY LIFE
To meet any living situation, a flexible adjustment of the rope length is possible at any time. If you spontaneously need more space above the tabletop, for example for a vase of flowers, fancy table decorations or to wrap a large-volume gift, the light pendulum is simply pushed up and adjusted back to the desired height after the work is done. Ergonomically height-adjustable tables are also well equipped with the lighting concept, because the light can be adjusted to the table height at any time.
> MIX AND MATCH
The 2- and 3-flame canopies are modular. The colors of a luminaire series can be combined as desired and matched to the individual living concept. Thus, each luminaire becomes a personal favorite.
> FIND THE RIGHT MEASURE
Typically, a table has a height of 70-80 cm. Pendant luminaires should be positioned at a distance of about 60 cm from the table surface. The suspension height of the lamp heads can be adjusted on a length of 1.6 m. The minimum length is 70 cm, the maximum is 2.3 m. Based on these dimensions, the luminaires can be used without any problems in rooms with a ceiling height of around 2 m up to an airy 3.6 m.
> SPECIAL LENGTHS
For an additional charge, the luminaires are also available in an extended or shortened version. The rope extension is available up to a maximum distance of 5 m, for example to use the luminaires above a dining table in an open gallery. The shortened suspension is recommended if the space below the luminaire is to be used flexibly - e.g. at a party. For this purpose, the luminaire pendants can be inserted into the canopy down to a visible cable length of 5 cm. The adjustment range always remains at 1.6 m, regardless of the length.

A few information about the technical data
- What is luminous flux?
The luminous flux Φ - measured in lumens (lm) - is the light output of a light source. It describes the power emitted by the light source in all directions in the visible range. To get a rough idea of what this value means, here are a few comparisons:

- What does color temperature mean?
Roughly speaking, the color temperature indicates how warm or cold especially white light is. The oneness is Kelvin (K). The lower the Kelvin value, the warmer the light gets. The light of a commercial light bulb here would correspond to about 2700K, a candle has about 1500K. The higher the Kelvin value becomes, the colder the blue becomes the light. Daylight is compared with about 7000K. A rough classification of the light color is:
- 2,700 to 3,250 Kelvin: warm white
- 3,250 to 5,250 Kelvin: neutral white
- 5,250 to 8,000 Kelvin: daylight white
- What does the color rendering index called RA or CRI?
The color rendering index indicates the degree of correspondence of the seen body color with its appearance under the respective reference light source. The smaller the deviation, the better the color rendering property. A light source with RA = 100 reproduces all colors very well. The lower the RA value, the less well the colors are rendered. In bathrooms and dressing rooms with mirrors, we generally recommend the use of luminaires and light sources with a high RA value of at least 90.

The Casambi system is based on the standard Bluetooth protocol, which is integrated into most of today's smartphones and tablets. It is a wireless radio system that meets all modern security standards and is increasingly becoming an industry standard. Many well-known luminaire manufacturers equip their luminaires with it, making them Smarthome-capable. If several Casambi modules are in use, a so-called "mesh network" is built up. This enables a greater range, as it is extended with each additional module. Even existing lights can be easily retrofitted with our Casambi modules. All settings remain stored even after a power failure, so when a luminaire switches on the light switch, it reactivates all settings such as the dimming level. An interesting feature of the Casambi system is the presence simulation, which, if desired, automatically switches your lights on and off according to a time set by you, simulating your presence when you are on vacation.
No! On the contrary, the luminaire must not be operated with an external dimmer that is already installed behind the wall switch. Casambi is a radio technology and, if operation via wall switch is desired, requires a radio transmitter, which we offer as a flush-mounted module or as a hand-held transmitter.
Basically, you do not need a smartphone or tablet to operate the light at first! The Casambi technology built into the luminaire only unfolds its full comfort at the request of the user. This can also be activated much later, so that you can immediately start with the normal operation of the luminaire after the luminaire installation.
With the built-in Casambi technology, you can already dim the luminaire with your existing wall switch - even without an existing dimmer:
Dimming function using a conventional wall switch:
1. if you turn the light switch ON, the brightness goes to 100%.
2. if you briefly switch OFF-ON, the brightness slowly runs from the minimum to the maximum. 3.
3. if you quickly switch OFF again during this dimming process, the brightness remains at this level. This brightness level is then stored. 4.
4. if you switch OFF, and after a while switch ON again, the light will be on with this stored brightness level.
5. to select and store another brightness level, switch OFF-ON again for a short time, and the brightness level will slowly run up again from the minimum until you switch OFF-ON for a short time at another brightness level.
6. to select and save the brightness of 100%, simply let the brightness run up to 100% without briefly switching OFF-ON.
