Anax, the royal dragonfly hovers slenderly and majestically above its kingdom, always keeping its environment in focus. Similarly, the luminaire Anax. Thanks to a unique suspension, it remains, like its namesake seemingly weightless in space and illuminates its surroundings. It is a light giver and light figure at the same time, through it lighting becomes a building block of architecture, a leitmotif for the eyes. A guiding principle of the design is "form follows function". With the Anax luminaire, Liin shows what happens when form and function do not simply follow each other, but merge into harmony, creating a synthesis of functional beauty of form and functional beauty of form.
With state-of-the-art LED technology and high-quality materials, Anax combines rationality and emotionality, letting prestigious living rooms as well as conference rooms shine. The lighting becomes the basic element of the ambience.
Winner of the international reddot design award in 2008, Anax is Liin's design classic, the product that started it all. Anax makes light a way of life and aesthetics an experience. The luminaire is available in several colors and three lengths (1020 mm / 1350 mm / 1680 mm).
In addition to the beautiful appearance and the selected technology Anax convinces above all by external values. Here, light metal is brought into shape without getting out of shape. The resulting aluminum body of extruded profiles receives an extremely dense and hard oxide coating. A procedure that provides the body with lasting protection against external influences while preserving the character of the aluminum.
Whether Anax shines in a glossy brillance look or presents itself in a restrained matte satin look, both the surface and the color variations underscore the timeless design of the luminaire: Anax floats classically, nobly and stylishly in arctic silver, raven grey, pearl sand and lily white. Colors that are not subject to any fashion trends and emphasize the clear lines of the design and the high quality of the material in both modern and classic settings.

Adjusting the light color
Anax CC has an integrated touch dimmer for light color and brightness adjustment. LEDs with 2700K and 5700K are used. The capacitive sensor is located in the center of the underside of the pendant. With this, the light color and brightness can be adjusted. By briefly touching the sensor, the light color can be adjusted between 2700K and 5700K warmer or colder. Touching it for a longer time starts the brightness adjustment. By releasing, the achieved brightness remains set. Dimming is between 10 and 100 percent of the brightness. At the brightest and darkest setting, the dimming stops for three seconds each to make it easier to adjust the minimum and maximum brightness. When the light is turned off, the settings are automatically saved.
With a pared-down design, the suspension ensures that the spotlight always belongs to Anax, that the luminaire is the focus of attention. The ceiling finish picks up the surface, shines in an identical look and is thus the end and starting point of a harmonious overall concept. An extremely simple installation by snapping the base plate and cover together, plus the absence of visible screws, round off the technical artistry of the Anax in perfect form.
The standard cable length is 100 cm. Anax uses LEDs with 3000 Kelvin. On the bottom of the pendant lamp is a capacitive sensor in the center. Touching the sensor starts the dimming. By releasing, the achieved brightness remains set. Dimming is between 10 and 100 percent of the brightness. By releasing and touching again, the dimming changes direction. At the brightest and darkest setting, the dimming stops for three seconds each to make it easier to set the minimum and maximum brightness. Anax is available in two different dimmer versions with integrated "touch dimmer" or wall dimmer. All installed LEDs have a CRI of 92, which ensures particularly good color rendering.
The LEDs can be replaced by the manufacturer.

- What is luminous flux?
The luminous flux Φ - measured in lumens (lm) - is the light output of a light source. It describes the power emitted by the light source in all directions in the visible range. To get a rough idea of what this value means, here are a few comparisons:

- What does color temperature mean?
Roughly speaking, the color temperature indicates how warm or cold especially white light is. The oneness is Kelvin (K). The lower the Kelvin value, the warmer the light gets. The light of a commercial light bulb here would correspond to about 2700K, a candle has about 1500K. The higher the Kelvin value becomes, the colder the blue becomes the light. Daylight is compared with about 7000K. A rough classification of the light color is:
- 2,700 to 3,250 Kelvin: warm white
- 3,250 to 5,250 Kelvin: neutral white
- 5,250 to 8,000 Kelvin: daylight white
- What does the color rendering index called RA or CRI?
The color rendering index indicates the degree of correspondence of the seen body color with its appearance under the respective reference light source. The smaller the deviation, the better the color rendering property. A light source with RA = 100 reproduces all colors very well. The lower the RA value, the less well the colors are rendered. In bathrooms and dressing rooms with mirrors, we generally recommend the use of luminaires and light sources with a high RA value of at least 90.
