CASAMBI radio modul
The CASAMBI radio module is a Bluetooth controllable, CASAMBI-compatible dimmer for incandescent lamps, dimmable LED lamps and dimmable LED control gear. The module is installed behind a conventional wall switch, in a luminaire, in a canopy or in a ceiling outlet box.
The wireless module can be controlled via the free CASAMBI app, which is available for iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, or even with traditional wall switches, i. even without a corresponding tablet or mobile phone. Of course, a handheld transmitter is also available for convenient control. A brief introduction to this exciting system can be found in the Downloads section.
The radio module, together with all other radio modules that are located in the same network, forms a so-called mesh network, which exchanges the information with each other. That each CASAMBI module also performs the function of a repeater, which forwards the commands to other modules. As a result, long ranges are achieved within buildings, even in outdoor applications.
Dimming function using a conventional wall switch:
1. If you switch the light switch ON, the brightness goes to 100%.
2. If you switch OFF briefly, the brightness slowly goes from minimum to maximum.
3. If you switch off quickly during this dimming process, the brightness will stop at this stage. This brightness level is then saved.
4. If you switch OFF and after a while ON again, the light will be lit with this stored brightness.
5. To select and save a different brightness, briefly turn OFF again, and the brightness slowly ramps up from the minimum until you turn OFF briefly at a different brightness.
6. To select and save 100% brightness, simply let the brightness run to 100% without momentarily turning OFF.

The app employs intuitive gesture control: tap a luminaire to turn it on or off, swipe side-to-side to adjust brightness, up and down for colour temperature, or hold to change the colour. The unique gallery feature even lets users upload their own photos of a space, mark the positions of the luminaires, and use this to select and control them.
User Interfaces
Casambi offers a big variety of possibilities for a user to interact with the lighting depending on the user's individual requirements. The app for smartphones, tablets and smartwatches is the most elaborated user interface.
